Notes from the EB Greening Committee: planning meeting on Saturday, Feb. 21 at 9:30am at Small World Cafe

Thanks for everyone who came out to help and shop at the Honest Earl's Bargain Basement sale this fall. Not only was it a fun day to sit and chat over a cup of Fair Trade coffee (compliments of Small World Cafe) and eat yummy baked goods, but together we managed to raise over $1100 (bringing the total raised to $2400) while giving gently-used kids' clothes a second chance.
For anyone interested, the landscape plan for the front yard is on display in the hall outside the school office. Currently we are waiting to hear the status on our application for funding from the Evergreen Foundation, and are meeting with TDSB grounds team and facilities staff to coordinate the plan for the proposed low fence.
Other activities planned include our annual spring seed planting in classrooms throughout the school, a spring Honest Earl's sale, garden clean-ups and plantings and more! Please feel free to join us at our next planning meeting on Saturday, Feb. 21 at 9:30am at Small World Cafe at 1775 Danforth Avenue. For more information, contact Sheila Boudreau at 416-466-5351.
