QSP Orders Are Starting October 3rd

Earl Beatty School Advisory Council

Elections for the Earl Beatty School Advisory Council (EBSAC) will take place on Tuesday, October 8, 2013.

Elections will be held in the school from 8 a.m. until 7:30 p.m. Parents and guardians must vote in person, at the school. All ballots are kept secret.

After the 7 positions are filled, the members will then determine their positions on the council.

Names and biographies of the nominees will be sent home in the Thursday folders on September 26.

Names of the successful candidates will be announced on Oct. 9 and will be introduced to the Earl Beatty community at the first EBSAC meeting on Thursday, October 10th. 
Be sure to attend the meeting to meet your EBSAC for the 2013/14 school year!

Curriculum Night is Thursday!

Don't miss Curriculum Night this Thursday, September 26.

Meet in the gym first for an introduction to all the Earl Beatty teachers.
Then proceed to your child's classroom to learn more about what you can expect for the upcoming year.

And don't forget the Book Fair will be taking place in the school library from 6 - 8 p.m., so drop by and help support the school's fundraising events by buying a book or two for your child - or their classroom!

WHAT DID YOU DO THIS SUMMER?

We are looking for photos of Earl Beatty students and where they travelled to this summer! 

 

Whether it's around town, around the province, across the country or over the ocean we want to see where you spent your summer! If your kids are in their EB t-shirts that would be a bonus but any photos of your travels this summer would be great. Be sure to include the city or place the photo was taken in. 

 

We are making a display in the glass cabinet on the main floor hallway. Please email pictures to Sheila Philcox  at sphilcox@rogers.com by September 18.

As the first week of school gets underway, here are a few important details to remember:

  3:15 pm   school ends

September 6 is Play Day! Check with your child or teacher on what colour each class is to wear. 
Make sure students have running shoes to participate in all the activities.

September 11 is photo day.

Curriculum Night is September 26 at 6:30 pm.
