THANKS TO ALL WHO PARTICIPATED IN THE CLEAN UP DAY

We woke to an overcast sky and a bit of rain, but it broke by time 10am came along. Over a dozen families braved the chill and met in front of Earl Beatty to take on the task of cleaning up the neighbourhood. Moms, Dads, and kids donned gloves and carried bags to their assigned spots - the front playground, the back playground, the parking lot, and all the streets that surround the Earl Beatty Community were picked clear of litter. The gardens and the playgrounds got a good sprucing too - wood chips swept and put back where they belong and last year's perennials and shrubs pruned for the spring.

We shared our stories and drank hot chocolate after we were done. This event was hosted by the Earl Beatty School, Eco-team and Community Centre. Thanks to all who participated - the grounds and surrounding streets are ready for the warmer weather.

April 21st - Earl Beatty Parent's Night Out

Hello Earl Beatty Parents!

Our first annual parent's evening, Enchantment Under the Stairs, is fast approaching.  Click here to view a letter about the event, including some info on the silent auction.  We've received some fantastic donations, and there are over 70 people RSVP'd so far - it promises to be a really great night!  We're trying to reach 100 people, so please, spread the news about this great night out.

Earl Beatty parents, we could use your help with a couple of the final touches.  We have two requests:

 1) APPETIZERS: We are looking for a few people to donate a plate of appetizers.  If you are willing to contribute a plate of your favourite pot luck appetizer/nibblies, please let our food coordinator know by emailing Prashna Gajjar: prashnag@yahoo.com.

 2) LIGHTS:  We are using white Christmas lights to decorate the room and need more. We know it means digging into your Christmas storage box, but we would really appreciate the donation. If you have a string (or two) of white lights, please email Erica and Lori at earlbeattyauction@gmail.com. We will arrange to get them from you, and to get them back to you!  And, if you can drop them off at the council meeting on Thursday even better, but make sure they have your name on them!

Fun, food, friends, and FUNDS - what more could you ask for on a Saturday night!  See you on April 21 at 7:00 p.m.

Long Weekend

Don't forget Earl Beatty will be closed Friday April 6 and Monday April 9.

Friday and Saturday are going to be lovely, so make sure you get out and enjoy the sunshine with your Earl Beatty Students! And if it gets rainy, that is the perfect time to play games indoors.
