Dear Parents/Guardians,On October 7, 2008 the parent community of Earl Beatty convened to take part in the School Advisory Council Elections. The number of nominees was unprecedented in the history of Earl Beatty and it was the intent of all involved to conduct the election with full integrity. Shortly thereafter, through consultation with TDSB experts on electoral procedures, we realized that we did not comply fully with the TDSB, Ministry and School Advisory Council by-laws and legislation. In order to ensure transparency and follow due process we have decided that it is necessary to hold the election again.
All nominees have been informed of the circumstances of the need for a new election. Names and profiles of our nominees will be sent home in the October 30th Thursday Folder.

We feel it is our responsibility to respond appropriately in order to respect the spirit of the by-laws, Ministry regulations and the role of parents in the school. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
