Green Agenda

• Report from Beaches Alternative School on Green initiatives
• Heidi Campbell, Evergreen; School Ground Design Consultant for Evergreen and the Toronto District School Board will discuss greening school grounds

• Sunday Harrison, Green Thumbs Growing Kids; a group who offers food growing and environmental education programs and teaches urban children and their families to grow and appreciate fresh, nutritious foods, grown in an environmentally sustainable and socially just manner, in a hands-on program

• Meredith Hayes, Foodshare; Food to Table School Coordinator will share information on resources and free workshops on food and the environment including school gardens

• Sandra Bussin, Councillor; a discussion on city engagement in school initiatives i.e. recreation programs and green bin pick-up


Childcare and light refreshments will be provided
