The Ontario Ministry of Education has funded a new initiative called the Safe Welcome Program. This program consists of installing a buzzer system to the main entry doors of the school.
Starting Monday October 7 all doors will be locked by 9 a.m.
The new buzzer system is now installed on the Woverleigh Avenue entrance.
Anyone trying to enter the school after 9 a.m. will need to buzz the office, identify themselves, and state the purpose of their visit to the school. After gaining entry, visitors must report directly to the office.
In the future Beatty Buddies Daycare will have its own buzzer system, but in the meantime all visitors should use the existing system.
