Support the Toronto Public Library

In a few weeks the 2014 budget for the Toronto Public Library will be finalized at a special two-day budget meeting at City Hall beginning at 9:30 am on January 29th.  During that meeting, Councillors will vote on two items that are crucial to the future of our public library.

The TPL has launched a new campaign called BE A HERO! to urge Council to do what’s right for our public library and our city during these final days before budget votes.

Please sign the BE A HERO! petition to show your support for our public library.
When you sign the petition, your city councillor will receive a message from you urging support for the 2014 budget proposed for our public library.

By a margin of just one vote, City Council stopped the Ford administration’s cuts to our public library in 2012. This will be the last city budget before the municipal election next year and the last chance for your Councillor to Be a Hero for our public library.

Please sign the petition and share it with your friends and neighbours.
