Itinerant music programs are on the chopping block

The Toronto District School Board is slashing the Itinerant Music Program ( Band, Strings,  Vocal, Recorder, Steel Pan Drums) before the Trustees are informed or able to vote on this drastic change of policy.

To save a small portion of their budget, they are planning to drastically reduce the quality of music education for students by laying off the expert music educators. It's outrageous and shortsighted. Study and after study show the benefits of music to our development, our ability to learn, and our quality of life.

Earl Beatty uses these programs each year, and we will miss them terribly if they are taken away!

It only takes a minute to sign the petition below, and your support will make a difference.

Early Beatty students star in a music video

Two year's ago Marianne's grade 2/3 class was involved in creating a music video with the Toronto band Notes to Self.
Shot on a field trip to Centre Island, the beautiful day and students' enthusiasm contribute to making this positive video full fun!
Check out our EB students in action.

Instrument Donation

Students benefit in many ways from taking part in Earl Beatty’s itinerant Band, String and Vocal Music programs. At our last School Advisory Council meeting a couple of parents indicated that they would like to donate instruments to the school’s music program. If you have an Alto or Tenor saxophone that is gathering dust and you would like to donate it to our Band Program, please call the school at 416-393-9070.
